Mr. Toure, a Malian national, is a seasoned P&I correspondent specializing in handling various types of P&I and FD&D-related claims. His extensive experience in the maritime insurance industry spans over a decade, encompassing roles in claims management, underwriting, legal advisory, and surveying across West Africa.
Mr. Toure’s professional journey commenced with a brief stint as a junior underwriter at AXA CORPORATE SOLUTIONS in France, where he gained valuable experience in the AXA YACHTING SOLUTIONS business unit. In 2009, he joined France P&I in Paris as a P&I claim handler, honing his skills in claims management for three years.
In 2012, Mamadi was relocated to Douala, Cameroon, where he took charge of managing Cameroon P&I, a subsidiary of France P&I. Concurrently, he was involved in overseeing France P&I’s offices across West Africa. During his time in Cameroon, Mamadi assumed additional responsibilities as an external legal manager for EOLIS Cameroon and TERMINAL MIXTE FRUITIER DE DOUALA, both members of the Compagnie Fruitiere Group. Under a service contract between Cameroon P&I and these companies, Mamadi handled various types of container claims, including dry and reefer units, and provided legal advisory services on operational matters. Additionally, he served as a legal assistant for AFRICA EXPRESS LINE, the logistics arm of Compagnie Fruitiere Group.
After spending eight years in Cameroon, Mamadi joined a Belgian survey group in Dakar in 2019, taking on the roles of marine surveyor and senior claim handler. Two years later, he rejoined his former group, PANDI SURVEY CONSULTING GROUP, which had acquired France P&I’s offices in Africa. Mamadi played a pivotal role in establishing Dakar P&I, where he currently serves as the manager, overseeing matters involving PSC GROUP in Senegal, Gambia, Guinea-Bissau, Guinea, and Mauritania.
Mr. Toure’s extensive marine claims experience is further complemented by his broad network of surveyors across Africa, with a particular focus on West Africa. This comprehensive expertise allows him to provide valuable insights and solutions to his clients.
Mr. Toure’s educational background includes a Master’s degree in International Management of Insurance from the prestigious Sorbonne Paris Nord University, equipping him with the necessary theoretical foundation to excel in the insurance industry.
