Meeting Venue: The African Annual Summit (AAS) will be held at the Diamonds Leisure Beach & Golf Resort, Diani, Kenya.
Important to note: On Thursday, October 24th, 2024, the programme begins early. All speakers and attendees are to arrive early at the meeting venue and take their seats at the Plenary Hall by 8:30 am.
Accommodation: Group reservations have been made at Diamonds Leisure Beach & Golf Resort for speakers and delegates. The hotel will also serve as the meeting venue for the summit.
Check-in: During check-in at the hotel, delegates should identify themselves as AAS participants. Participants should also reconfirm their check-out date with the hotel during check-in.
Additional Charges: Any extras such as additional nights, drinks, room service, telephone, laundry, etc., will be charged directly to the guest and are not included in the group reservation.
Airport Transfers: Transfers between the airport and the hotel have not been arranged for speakers and delegates. Participants are responsible for making their transportation arrangements from the airport. Various cab services are available at the airport to take you to Diamonds Leisure Beach and Golf Resort. Diani offers many cab-hailing options such as Uber, Little Cab, and Bolt.
Visa: Before travel, travelers must acquire an electronic visa. Kenyan embassies, consulates, and ports of entry no longer issue visas upon arrival. All international nationalities, except those with visa exemptions, are eligible to apply for visas. Visit the E-Visa portal at www.evisa.go.ke for further details.
Health: Visitors entering Kenya are required to present their yellow fever vaccination document. Exemptions are made for visitors arriving from non-endemic areas such as Europe, North America, Australia, and New Zealand. Remember to pack any medical prescription(s) given by your doctor to last the duration of travel.
Dress code: Formal wear is recommended on the day of the official opening session, with smart casual for other days. The dress code for the AAS Welcome Cocktail is Caribbean while that of Gala Dinner is Coastal/Swahili.
Internet: The hotel provides Wi-Fi as part of the accommodation and conference packages.
