Mr. Osakwe is a distinguished maritime and insurance professional with over 15 years of
extensive experience across various sectors, including FMCG, shipping, logistics, procurement,
and allied services. Currently serving as the Managing Director at Livernerd International
Ventures Ltd since September 2023, Anthony oversees a wide range of operations in these
fields.
Anthony's career trajectory showcases his versatility and leadership in the maritime industry.
From December 2016 to September 2023, he held the position of Head of Logistics at Hull Blyth
Nigeria Ltd, where he managed import and export operations, project logistics, airfreight, and
customer care. Before this, he served as Operations Manager at Advanced Maritime Transport
Ltd from January 2014 to November 2016, handling diverse shipping operations including tug
boats, barge operations, vessel management, and free zone operations.
His earlier roles included Commercial Assistant Manager at GAC Shipping Nigeria Limited
(2009-2012), where he conducted sales and marketing for the logistics department and
managed commercial operations for NYK Line. Anthony also briefly served as General Manager
at Nosak Maritime / Grand Maritime in 2008, setting up and managing the maritime company.
His experience extends to positions at CMA-CGM DELMAS Nigeria Ltd, African Steamship
Nigeria Limited, and Standard Alliance Insurance Plc, where he honed his logistics, finance, and
management skills.
Anthony's educational background is robust, featuring an MBA from the University of Calabar
(2003-2004), an Advanced Diploma in Business Administration from the University of Ibadan
(1996-1997), and an HND in Accountancy from Yaba College of Technology (1987-1992). He
has further enhanced his expertise with an Executive Computer Certificate from Kings
Computer School.
Professionally, Anthony is affiliated with several industry bodies, including the Chartered
Institute of Logistics and Transport in Nigeria (CILMN), the Nigerian Institute of Shipping (NIS),
the Nigerian Institute of Management (AMNIM), and the Institute of Cost Management (ICM).
His technical skills encompass proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, container tracking systems,
and specialized shipping software, demonstrating his comprehensive understanding of both the
operational and technological aspects of the maritime industry.
